Copying accents

DS(12l is copying accents of other boys in his yeargroup. I keep telling him to stop and as soon as he is with them , it starts again. He sounds ridiculous. ADHD

He’s probably not doing it consciously. My ds (5, ASC) does this too but it’s fairly common anyway, see Telegraph article on a study which says that we do it to ‘empathise and affiliate’.

I can do this, I’m an adult I have to stop myself from doing it.
