Fast ForWord

Has anyone on this board used Fast ForWord for a child with speech and language difficulties?

My DS 6 has ASD but at this point his main issue is language delay, and I am wondering if this program would be helpful for him.

Fast Forword is quite popular in the US for kids with ASD and seems to be catching on over here as well. I would appreciate hearing if anyone has tried the program, and if so whether you can recommend a UK practitioner (we are based in north London).

I have heard of FF for many years and have only heard good things. But I think it makes a very big difference if your child is deemed "suitable" for it, i.e. will be able to participate enough to benefit. I think my friend JW, who runs Haringey Autism, may have used it. If you are in North London you may know her. I will try to remember to ask her.
The other one you hear a lot about is Earobics but I can't give you a master class on either or on the differences!
Are you a member of Yahoo EGroup ABA-UK? Someone on there could prob help.

Never heard of it, will look at the site with interest (and some trepidation as to how much it would all cost!)

Thanks Davros - don't know JW (I have not actually been living in the UK for very long) and I'm not on the ABA list as we don't do much ABA. I am on the ABE list so maybe I will try them.

Mummytosteven - I think it costs somewhere between £1-2k for an intensive 6-10 wk course.
