DLA Mandatory Reconsideration (ASD related)

DS is 13 and finally got a diagnosis of ASD in the summer, which was no surprise. I've recently applied for DLA which was refused. The reasons for refusal for the mobility part are that although he has some sensory issues and anxiety, he is very aware of danger, is not being treated for anxiety (currently) and has no extra supervision around school. I'm willing to accept that part as although I really do think he needs more supervision than a typical 13 year old, he can go for short walks around the village on his own.

The care part has been refused because he sleeps through the night without medication, they don't think he has an excessive level of self care, he is academically bright and although he has some support in school he doesn't have frequent one to one support or need supervision because of his behaviour. So it seems that their thinking is because he doesn't need too much extra help at school, he doesn't at home.

The reality is that I spends hours every day helping him and a huge part of that is due to school and homework related meltdowns. Basically, I don't think how much support he needs at school relates to how much support he needs at home. Has anyone got any advice or useful links for help? I'm responding to them in writing. Thanks to anyone reading this.
