ADHD, EHCP mainstream secondary

Does anyone have a child in mainstream secondary with ADHD diagnosis and manages to get an EHCP? Just sent off second application, as first was rejected in year 6.

EHCP’s are not based on diagnosis or which school is attended.

The legal criteria is whether the child or young person has or may have special educational needs (“SEN”); and
whether they may need special educational provision to be made through an EHC plan.

If the answer to both of these questions is yes, they must carry out an EHC needs assessment.
