.....be able to go on mumsnet every morning as soon as i have taken them to school..and read everyone's news 'hot off the press' (instead of at the moment where i reckon in the whole of the holidays i've managed only 3 or 4 'visits'

AND.......I will be able to go upstairs without having to make sure my 3 boys are occupied in 3 different rooms....and that i have 'guessed' every possible disaster/mischeif that Alex may think of doing.......

AND..........I will be able to wander round the charity shops again...haven't been in 1 in 7 weeks!!!!(Withdrawral Symptoms+++++++!)

AND...........can't wait for 3.15pm when i will be greeted by their smiley faces....and er the teacher's 'comments' as to what kind of day they have had!!!!!!

How about you..... what will you be able to do that you have sacrificed for the holidays?

had a bosch vented - excellent

had to change to condenser because of moving it to another room
now have a bosch condenser - excellent again

Condenser : Zanussi-Electrolux TC 7102 W
Vented : AEG T 37320

They also recommend an AEG condenser but it's c£500 - these 2 are c£250. Big diff!

think bosch are rather expensive but we have a local dealer who is very cheap - think we paid about £300 for it

ds has already done one and a half weeks of school but I've not done anything too exciting yet as he is only mornings just now. Have been able to take dd back to the mums & toddlers we had to give up 6 months ago due to ds's behaviour. Done some boring clearing out cupboards and spend time with dd actually talking to her.

Nothing too relaxing though as she is quite a handful in herself.

What I really want to do is have a bath (we don't have one in our house) but will have to wait till she starts Rising 3's in October and go to my parents.

Thanks Janh - you're fab!

I searched here under 'tumble drier' and got very little. Will now try searching 'condenser' and see if I can pull up the great debate. Dh thinks emptying a water container thingie will be a real pain, but as the room is nextdoor to the bathroom, and it won't be him that's emptying it, I'm not sure I agree.

be able to go to the post office- not have to give dh all my mail, or wait for my cleaner to come on a wednesday morning so she can have ds1 whilst I go.

not have to go out every Wednesday morning so my cleaner can use the hoover.

be able too use the hoover when I want to.

be able to open my front door when I want to without having to say "doorbell only for countdown, no car, doorbell only for countdown, no car, 10,9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2,1 inside" every time- followed by an hour of screaming (rather obsessed with the street at the moment).

be able to go to the supermarket

be able to go and buy an evening paper

be able to pop to Somerfield to buy a pint of milk

not have to get dh home for lunch so I can do an urgent errand (like get my GCSE results- I'll just be able to do it).

not have to set up loads of visual timetables each day to try and keep some sort of sanity.

And DS1 will be much happier as well as every minute of his day will be structured with a one to one- so I can stop feeling guilty for not doing enough.

He's back on Thursday but his wonderful ex nursery are having him on Wednesday morning as well. Bless them.

8.15am - and only one "doorbell only for countdown" so far today (as I told him I refuse to walk up and down the street peering into cars dressed in my pink pyjamas- actually I refuse to do that anyway). Not too much of a screaming fit about it either.

One thing that'll be good for him when he goes back to school- hopefully he'll be happier being occupied the whole time and will stop hitting himself quite so often. His chin must be sore poor thing. The self injury stuff has really increased in the last couple of weeks. These holidays have been far too long for him.

Hopefully by next year SS will have managed to get thier arses into gear and I'll be able to arrange for help to run a mini ABA programme during the holidays. it'll be better for all of us.

the self injuring has really increased here too jimjams! Sad dd doesant actually tend to do it when she is at school so it is obviously the structure that is a factor in it

When dd goes back to school I will stop feeling guilty about being the most disorganised person in the world when she likes structure! Smile roll on friday......

My DS has been back at school for a week and I haven't done anything exciting yet! Oh, met Maomao at the local library this afternoon and meeting her tomorrow am. I suppose I have a bit more time for MN and all those other sodding jobs, its all admin and planning (support group, NAS meeting coming up, school parents meeting here). Its all autism stuff!
