Does DLA434 supercede DLA1A forms?

Hi there, hopefully someone can help. We received a DLA434 form in August 2018 (due to DC turning 5 soon) and completed and returned it. We have since received a DLA1A form which is the same but a bit more detailed, not sent it back yet. This seems to be as the original award is coming to an end (coincides with DC turning 5). However we have just had an award letter based on the DLA434 which is valid until 2026. Will the award remain if we do not submit the DLA1A form? It's all very confusing, sometimes I think they have automatically been sent and are for the same objective and other times I worry I have misunderstood completely. Thanks if anyone can make any sense of this and give any advice!
PS have called them 4 times this week for 1.5 hours+ each time and have never managed to speak to anyone 🤦

I don’t know what the specific forms are but does one of them relate specifically to mobility as your child is turning 5? If so and you choose not to submit this the original award will remain in place until you contact them either to let them know circumstances have changed or you submit a new renewal form. Hope that helps.
