Hello there,
First of all i have two lovely boys , my first boy he developed very well, the second one i felt that he had some speech delay at yr of 2 although he did everything else at appropriate age or earlier (walking around 11 months eating alone from 10 months he start to asked to go to the toilet at 20 months) so we started speech and language from 2 years and he start to say like sentances and ask for things easily, but still ((i forget to mention he is 5 years old NOW)) have some speech delay, we want to GP to do an evalutaion and she thinks that he have ADHD ((he is less focused in the class and he is perfect 1-1)) developmental delay and mild autism, what she suggest to start with adhd medication and then she will see if he need to do the DD and ASD evaluation, and he started to have a shadow teacher because he get angry often and he may hit his teacher 😭 he interrupt at the class ((he talks alot alot)) ext.
so we start medikinet XL 10mg a week before ! But i felt no change with medication ! Not bad not good !!! , shall we change it change the dose ? Although i was against the medication as much as i want it to work right now because i feel that he need it !! I feel that he do have 10000 of thought in his mind that why he can focus well when i talk or in the class ..

Adhd medication dosage always starts low because reactions to it can be stronger than expected. When you return for a follow up, the dose will almost certainly be increased.

I'd suggest talking to the doctor, we noticed a difference straight away. If you've noticed nothing then I don't see what benefit there is from carrying on for 2 weeks. Good luck.
