What supplements do you use for your DC with ASD?

We have used Bio Mindlinx Micronutrients on and off, in powder form. Plan to be more consistent with it, just wondered if anyone could suggest anything else? He has loose bowels quite often, so maybe a probiotic? Just curious really to see if others use supplements etc and if they help your DC?

Omega 3 &6 - the Eskimo little cubs one works best for my dd
Probiotics - nature aids kids probiotics
Multi vitamin - highfield vitamins children’s Multivitamins & Minerals with Iron & Calcium, Vitamin A,B1,B2,B3,B5,B6,B12,C,D,E
These are what I use on my dd6 who has asd. I also bath her in Epsom salts every 2nd night. The difference in her is massive she has much less stimming, makes conversation instead of just answering questions, isn’t as aggressive as she was and can concentrate much better than before. I purchase them all on amazon.

Thankyou @scottishmummy, we tried the Eskimo one, will have to give it another whirl. We also have used Epsom salts. Need to use them more though!

I use the tutti frutti flavour seems to be the easiest to take. It took about 5 months for me to notice a difference with them though. But I have been told it can take up to a year.

We use Optibac probiotics for DS who has ASD. I feel it’s made a huge difference to his bowels!! Also feel he seems calmer since starting them. I had been sceptical beforehand but gave it a go.

Thank you hurricane. We have some bowel issues too with ds. However, they seem to be sorting out over time...

I used Equazen eyeQ omega 3 and 6 fish oils with DS2 for about 12 years. They are supposed to help with concentration. The levels of DHA and EPA are supposed to be optimised. I did see an improvement in his behaviour soon after he started taking them at age 5. He stopped for a while age 10 and there seemed to be a deterioration in behaviour so he started again with good results. I kept them going until just after GCSEs when he stopped again. It's so hard to know if there is any real benefit or whether the improvement was a coincidence, but they did no harm and might have been helping.

ReMag magnesium supplement-expensive but great
Biocare B vitamin drops
Inulin gummies
Optibac/Udo’s choice probiotics (also helped massively with DS2’s hay fever)
Cat’s Claw

Not supplements but also an anti inflammatory diet
Bone broth
Fermented drinks (water kefir)

DS has Haliborange Mr. Men Omega-3 and Multivitamins orange flavour softies.

DD has Haliborange Multivitamins strawberry flavour softies. She won't eat the ones with Omega-3 in Hmm

They're the only ones I've ever been able to get them to actually eat!
