FIL thinks we are wrong to get a mobility car.

As he thinks his taxes pay for it.
we have a new car coming in two weeks a 7 seater, his view is that we should only be allowed to have a very basic 5 seater and we shouldn't have any choice in which car we have, i mean he has to PAY for his car you know, nobody gives him any freebies.

I think the appropriate phrase for him is 'dicksplash'

chonky · 10/06/2007 21:41

onlyjoking - that's terrible .

Of course, he'll never want any help from the state if he's ill or elderly [hmmm]

nice man.............not

mummytosteven · 10/06/2007 21:43

so if he has to go to hospital, he should only be given plain bread and water, as our taxes would pay for that.....

some people are so lovely,not

Blu · 10/06/2007 21:45

No-one gives him ANY freebies? You won't be calling a tax-funded ambulance if he collapses clutching his chest, will you, then?

Blimey, you'd think family would understand / support, wouldn't you?
No?
No, perhaps not!

onlyjoking9329 · 10/06/2007 21:47

his BIL has one and he told him you have to give up your 40 quid a week for it, FIL says he wished he could get a car with free tax and insurance and servicing for 40 a week, told him if he were lucky enough to be disabled he could have one too
He is an arse, we are also scroungers cos we are on benefits which of course he pays for. we should not have holidays and should only be buying value stuff
told him before if he did the childcare we could work but funnily enough he didn't take us up on it!
piles is too good for him

yes you can have the warning lane departure system fitted as an extra, the seats vibrate if you change lanes without indicating, we didn't go for that thou.

what an idiot!!!!
this happened to us a few months ago, dh young brother aged 11 told us "Thats dd,s money for her disability and you shouldnt be using it driving around in a flash car"

so i told FIL what BIL had said and asked him "where does an 11 year old get such information from"? he went very quiet and changed the subject, another reason why we dont see them any longer, he rang a month ago and asked had we got our car and had we kept our old one to which dh said yes and he said why are you flashing your money around?

GGRRRHHHHH, they just dont get it do they?
i would give anything for my 2 children not to be disabled and just take the bus everyday.

He must be a really nice man-what an attitude to have, especially to his own family! I don't' think I could even bring myself to speak to him if I were you OJ.
