Sussex school recommendations please

I posted this in SN Education but hoping for more traffic here maybe ?

My son (7) is currently in mainstream and whilst he is happy it is not able to meet his complex learning needs alongside ( confirmed dyslexia, poss ADHD and motor issues) He is far behind, at least 2 years behind his peers. Progress is happening but is slow.

We are working with school and LA towards an EHCP and want to look for alternative provision. We are in shoreham ( West Sussex, between Brighton and Worthing). We will look at Heron's Dale, but looking for suggestions if other schools.

Can anyone suggest schools to look at? It's early days x

Bizarrely another friend mentioned it this morning and said the HT is great and very supportive

Regarding F - i would very carefully look at its strengths and weaknesses and map those against your child. Include their strengths, interests, areas of dislike, future prospects, academic ability, etc. It does not suit every dyslexic child. I cant quite work out myself whether the Head is a smiling assassin or genuinely nice. I do think he is consciously indiscrete at times and I dont like that. He is also not always aware of what is happening and I dont think that is good enough for such a small school.

Hello hope it’s ok to jump on here. My 8yr old ds has a Dyslexia diagnosis and is struggling in his combined year group village school. He has no social or emotional issues although does seem to be disengaging with learning a little. His teachers think he just needs to change his attitude and have more of a ‘positive mindset’ but that seems easier said than done when he’s faced failure throughout his education. Can anyone recommend/suggest an independent junior to senior school that could provide excellent dyslexia support in West Sussex? We are near Chichester. I have looked at Boundary Oak, St. John’s college and Ditcham Park and discussed the possibility of him repeating a year as his bday is July so very young for the year. I have concerns about my son having a long journey on the school bus but don’t want him to board. I would really appreciate any advice. Thx
