We have just started off the long process of trying to get a statement for DS,5.
It is becoming more and more obvious that mainstream school is not working for him - he remains stressed and unhappy despite being there for only 2 hours per day with 1-1 support .
So we are looking around for an alternative (though I guess trying to get the LEA to fund it would be like drawing blood from a stone).
I came across Barnardiston school which has a special unit dealing with DS's type of issues.
Does anyone have any experience (good or bad!).
