DLA mobility question

I claim DLA for my dc with SEN and I get the higher rate of care for her and the lower mobility.
Her mobility has never been good and she struggles to walk for long without pain & discomfort. I've bought her mobility things myself as I didn't realise we could claim for help but I've been informed I can actually claim as she is that bad but I'm unsure how to do this since she's not up for renewal for awhile yet. Do I just ring up DLA and let them know a change in circumstances (even though she's actually been this bad for quite some time) and if so what happens? Do they stop the benefits whilst they sort it? Will they require a new claim? Does anyone know what happens and can explain it for me please?
Thank you.

how old is she?

just call them up and say you want to report a change in circumstances as you feel your daughter is worse then what they think and you want to re do the mobility element.

they send a form to you and you tick the box that says you want them to look into the dla again.

when i did this they didnt stop my money. i just filled in the bit i needed to and sent it back.
