Can anybody tell me where does private APD assessments. We are based in Staffordshire so I have a feeling that we will may have to travel. My daughter is 9 years old and is currently under audiology. The audiologist was a little dismissive about APD and said that a child would have to have normal hearing to begin with. However, my daughter had a traumatic birth and lack of oxygen, which I have read can also bring about APD as it is something to do with the brain.
