Hello, Just wondering whether anyones children have done AIT? I've seen old threads on here saying how much it has helped with focus at school as well as language, etc. My DS is 6, and is at least a year behind at school. He has recently been assessed by SALT who gave possible dx of Developmental Language Disorder. Recent Ed Psych assessment came back without any dx but recommended we see OT regarding poss dyspraxia. There is also a history of dyslexia in the family.
As he has poor coordination and balance, I'm wondering whether he may be dyspraxic and the language problems are due to this.

I (also SALT and Ed Psych have recommended) would really like to have him assessed for auditory processing disorder but the nhs won't assess until he is 7. I can't handle waiting another year so looking into possible therapies to help him. Has anyone had any experience with AIT? If so, has it helped? Is it permanent? Did you go to a clinic daily, or do the home version?

Sorry for all the questions, just want to feel like i'm doing something to help him as i hate the thought of him struggling all day at school.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
