well what a waste of time.
she acknowledges that R has a language delay, disorder we and our psych and the CDC think.
she says she has really come on-which she has.
she says she doesnt have any problems with social and interaction.
she says she is very visual but a lot of children are.
she says she has no need for a visual timetable despite the ICAN team yesterday telling me that they feel it would help her during the day.
she says R gravitates towards adults and is at a loss of what to do when there is unstructured time - but a lot of children are like that.
she says she doesnt need to see her again and she is discharging her and she will drop down to action instead of action plus, how can that be when SLT are involved and Early years specialist HV?

i slyly asked whas the psych who asessed M still there and asked did i know her and i said yes she asessed M, oh yes thats right, he wasnt in school so we had to get a locum in.

so suddenly it all makes sense, our psych has been telling us for a couple of months that the lea psych knows whats going on with M and the tribunal and that she,s going to either back off or completely disagree with CDC and him and us which she has.

she knows we are going to apply for asessment in september and they are doing their best to make it look like R doesnt need one and the fact that we wrote to her saying she wasnt sticking by code of practice, oh and she said if we need to contact her again, but that she doesnt think we will cos R wont have any problems, we are not to contact her direct cos she,s principal ed psych and extremely busy with children more severe than R (her exact words) so we are to go through SENCO.

then she doubted that R,s Cerebral Palsy was affecting her cos she can walk and run, yes but she gets very tired thats why we,ve been given a wheelchair we said.
A WHEELCHAIR!!!!!!! she said, i just thought dont even go there.
so thats it, what a load of rubbish

Oh dear.
Have you seen the locum's report?

I can't think of a child who wouldn't benefit from a visual timetable tbh, and i am a salt working in field of special needs.

sorry the meeting was so unsatisfactory, good luck with getting what you need for R. May I ask how you got the ICAN referral?
