I've finally got someone to refer DD who is 5 to CAHM's and have a letter asking me to ring them. It's took 3 years we have had issues since she was two.

The breaking point was massive, massive meltdowns and it’s getting to the point I’m scared she will hurt herself.

She has some traits repetition and routine being the main ones but is managing fine at school, middle of the class academic wise.

Theres a lot of mental health issues in the family, I have bi-polar, her sperm doner has ADHD. It goes back years my grandads gran died in bedlam.

She was also a prem baby so it could be a development problem.

I know getting a diagnosis for girls her age (she is 5) is hard but if we had one we could learn how to deal with her behaviour better.

Has anyone had a child particularly a girl a similar age get a diagnosis? Did it help and was CAHM's helpful?
