Social interaction in child with ADHD

I'll try to keep this short, basically my son has ADHD and has problems socialising and understanding when other kids don't want to play anymore. He comes home from school and tells me everyone hates him and that they all think hes stupid, he's very impulsive and has a tendancy to hit which he thinks is playing and obviously it annoys the other kids. Has anyone got any advice on how to teach him how to play nicely nothing i say seems to get through to him, he's in primary 2 and i dont want him to go through school like this.

Prob not what u want to hear but we didn't get great at social awareness until ds1 started meds at 7. I did use lots of social stories with him, role play aboit how to handle situations.

School should be helping him by having adult to facilitate his break times. My ds2 has asd and undergoing adhd assessment and he has really needed an adult to help him negotiate playtime at school
