SEN register

At what point should a child be put on this? We've just applied for an ehc assessment but my child still isn't on it. Are schools reluctant? Should I push for it or doesn't it matter in the grand scheme of things?

It would be more helpful to have evidence of what additional support or interventions your child is receiving rather than whether they are on a register. There is no requirement for schools to keep an SEN register but in practice most will have a record of pupils who are accessing additional support. Records of interventions over time and their impact would be more useful.
