Hi all, Im trying to get my hands on some mayer-johnson software, but it costs a small fortune(boardmaker). Even the cards would do, anybody have any suggestions?
The speech therapist we never see and my daughters school cant help because of the liscence!
Its quite frustrating, because all I want to do is help, be able to print off signs when I need them and not have to rely on someone else to do it in their timescale.
All suggestion appreciated.....

widget is cheaper- or you could do what we've done and get clicker plus the symbols which is cheaper as well. look at inclusive technology.....

The inclusive technology page is here. I bought clicker 4 + symbols from them, and they also stock widget (no good for us as we have a mac) If you are in receipt of dla remember to ask about getting it VAT free.

how do you get stuff VAT free? I only heard about this recently - even stuff like fencing for the garden if it's to keep your disabled child safe. How does it work?

Have you looked at the PECs website? They sell pre-printed packs of symbol cards.

Where abouts are you?- just found a place in Kent that may be able to help me in my situation. We are trying to get resources in place to help with my dd speech & lang program ( she has DS ).
Don't know much about them yet but will try to find out more.
Will keep you posted.

geekgrrl - see the attached VAT relief for disabled people

The pertinent stuff is from Section 2 onwards. hth
