Neurofeedback and Autism

My 12 yr old DS has just been diagnosed with ASD. He’s in a mainstream school and has always done OK at school so never had a lot of support. I’ve come across Neurofeedback as a therapy that could help with focus. Please don’t tell me I need to accept him for who he is. (People have) I do. I just want to do anything that may help him or make life easier.

What is your question exactly?

Oh sorry, just wondered if anyone had any experience of Neurofeedback for a child with ASD. I posted when tired on a Sunday evening!

I’ve just googled it... sounds interesting.

There have been good results with ADHD and with ASD according to studies. Have now spoken with a Dr who does Neurofeedback. It’s quite time consuming so will need to work out how to fit it in, but sounds quite positive.
