Has anyone done this treatment for Retained Reflexes recently ?
We are considering trying it out but would love to hear from someone has any experience.

It didn’t work for us unfortunately

We went to INPP for an assessment but didn’t do RR in the end as their London clinic times didn’t suit us. Instead we err’d towards the Sensory Integration route but DIY at home. We bought an old ILS headset and did one of their listening programmes plus used garden swings and trampolines during sessions. It seems to have helped DS’ motor skills and he really enjoyed it (surprisingly) but it’s not changed his behaviours. We also got hold of the Robin Pauc book where he gives lists of exercises in the back which are very similar to RR and we did the Astronaut and stair walking. I think they helped balance and motor coordination. In short the RR exercises do seem useful but I’m glad we didn’t spend a fortune on them as they weren’t “transformational” as the books/websites would like to suggest....

Our Sensory OT, NHS, checked for these, but it was 15 years ago. You can ask if there's an NHS service in your area.

Alexander Technique practitioners also do exercises around retained reflexes, do compare the costs.

No reliable research to support retained reflexes as a stand alone treatment strategy.
I'd save my money and spend on private OT or Paediatric Physio.
