Please help me understand ADOS results

My 8 year old dd did the ADOS recently and we've just got the results. It's an asd DX as expected but I'm not sure how to interpret the scores we were given - 18 for social affect and 4 for restricted and repetitive behaviour. Could anyone shed any light on this?

You're better off asking the people who did the tests, they can interpret the results and usually it's in the recommendations at the end.

Thanks. There weren't any recommendations and I haven't been offered a chance to discuss the results. Just wondered if it meant anything to anyone else.

Hopefully somebody here will have some experience, but even if they do I would definitely go back and ask for a discussion (even if just on the phone): it is not OK to just send you some numbers with no chance to discuss what they mean in terms of needs, strategies, support, etc.!
