SN Sixth Form Singapore

Myself DH and kids are moving to Singapore.

My son will entering sixth form. He has ASD (at various points, this has been diagnosed as Aspergers or moderate Autism). He is good academically (will hopefully get Cs, possibly Bs at GCSE). He likes school but he detests study and only studies if I badger him/supervise! He is sporty.

I need a sixth form that does not just offer the A Level/ IB route. His current school has recommended that he does 2 AS to start. This school has been a very nurturing environment but he finds it stifling as he has got older.

Our first thoughts are with Tanglin or Dover Court. Any advice/recommendations?

Hi, I know this is an old thread but I wondered if you had found a school? We may be facing a similar search.

I'm a teacher who has just relocated back to the UK from Singapore. I would say Dover Court would offer the best support as the classes are smaller and they have a long history of special needs support. Tanglin is more academically pushy, more of a hot house, however it's the only school that does A Levels. Dover Court only offers the IB. There are other British schools like Dulwich and Marlborough (over the border in JB) but I'm don't know much about either as they are both fairly new and have less of a track record. Both only do the IB too. Disclaimer - I did not work at any of these schools but was at another large International School. I was there over 20 years so have quite a lot of knowledge of the schools there
