My son is now 16 and has had a statement/ECHP since pre-school. I’m having a sort-out of my office today and have huge folders full of annual statement reviews, ed psych and speech & language reports, letters from children’s services etc. Do I need to keep it all going back that far? He’s now in his last year at a special school and had an interview for college, and the only thing they wanted was last November’s EHCP review. Any point in keeping the rest of it? Is he ever likely to need it? So much for the 21st Century paperless office, I’m drowning in the stuff.
