Applying for schools

My daughter doesnt start school until 2019.

To request a specific school on SEN grounds is the only way through an ECHP? She has signficiant speech and language problems which has had a knock on to her social skills. She wouldnt cope in a big school and a couple of the smaller schools locally have fab speech and language support whereas our two nearest schools are huge and not great sen support.

I believe so yes: but you should have time if you get going! I'm sure more knowledgeable people will be along, but hopefully if your local SLT service can't advise (or maybe one of the schools you are interested in) then two of the charities that are often mentioned here to help with applications are SOS SEN and IPSEA - may be worth a look?
