Merton - EP assessment

Hello all, I just wondered if anyone has experience of getting an EP assessment in primary school in merton - is there a standard wait time for it to happen and what happens? Did you get to meet the EP or just your child? Will they diagnose or do I need to do something privately for that? Sorry so many questions!

We got one in a Merton school. Not overly helpful but a few worthwhile suggestions. They assessed DS then we met with them . She is due for a review soon

Thanks for this, may I ask how you got a diagnosis (if you needed one) if it wasn’t through the EP?

We had a private EP first then when things were not working out st school the school-based one was asked to contribute.
