SCD...any support out there?

Our DD had diagnosis of Social Communication Disorder. We're waiting for another test for ADHD. Is there a support group? The only thing I can find is info on ASD but it's looking like she won't get diagnosis for that. It's all very confusing.

Gosh, surely we're not alone in going through this?

My DS was originally diagnosed with this but later on, got a diagnosis of being on the Autistic spectrum and having verbal dyspraxia.

When DS was diagnosed the Social communication disorder, we just went to the Autism groups. I don’t think many clinics diagnose SCD. However, some use terms like “Social communication difficulties” to list the child’s difficulties but not to use as a overall diagnosis.

Have you looked up groups for children with speech, language and communication difficulties?
