Bit of a long shot but does anyone know of anywhere where a family with sn children can go for a fairly reasonable price (everything i've found so far is 4k+ in August). There is 13 of us (we have to take extra carers with us) including 2 DC with autism, one of whom gets very anxious and is prone to escaping at the best of times, 1 DC with learning disabilities and who also uses a wheelchair part time. Tbh I think staying at home with all our sensory equipment and autistic-childproof house is going to be the least stressful option but I have to at least try. So if anyone knows any converted prisons ....Grin. Access to a sensory room would be brilliant but I can bring our sensory stuff if not. Budget is about 2k for accommodation. Has to be in school holidays as school aren't impressed with the amount of time my 4 year old has had off for hospital admissions so far. There is no way they will give permission for a term time holiday.

Just from an advert. Don't have any personal experience.

The thomas centre is really close to where we live and has a realy goid reputation, I'd love to go but its literally 10 minutes away!

Also just a thought but 4 year olds don't legally need to be in school so they can't refuse or fine you for term time holidays.

Thankyou. The Thomas centre looks brilliant. However after the school/preschool holidays where my youngest became more and more upset as time went on and spent less time asleep we decided that days out locally would be better. Would probably work better for my son with physical disabilities too, he manages better with space between activities.
