I have had a neighbour object to our planning permission which is for something to keep my severely disabled child safe in our garden. This neighbour works in my dc gp surgery and may have access to her file. If you had a neighbour who wrote some quite dismissing potentially liberous and potentially disabilist things about your child would you ask the practice manager to stop this person having access to your dc file?

Absolutely make an appointment with the Practise Manager and take a copy of whatever potentially libellous and disablist things she has written and ask outright how she has got this information and ask directly if she has accessed your child's records.

They have systems in place to tell who has accessed patient records and what for, it's logged on their computer rexcords so she couldn't deny it if she had done it.
