nits and ASD

Has anyone used that Lyclear stuff that keeps popping up on the Talk topic page? Because DS2 seems to have had nits forever . I daren't use chemicals on him (because of facial eczema as much as anything) but the nits that live on his head just sit up and laugh at tea tree shampoo. The constant washing and combing is making him react very badly to anything involving his hair (which has not been too much of a problem up to now).

If this Lyclear works and isn't likely to irritate his skin I'll give it a go - I think he'd tolerate a spray.

The one positive thing is that the nits love DS2's hair so much that the rest of us never get them...

I haven't used it but my head feels really itchy after reading your post, Sphil!

Have you been using the tea tree conditioner as well as the shampoo - or is that a silly question?

I know - mine too!
Yes, both. Makes no difference.

you could try HEdrin, apparantly it has no chemicals so it may be easier with his skin.

i used it once and to be honest it was just like having oil on your hair, i guess the nits can't stick if its so greasy?

it is quite pricey though.
