Possible diagnosis today. Hand hold please..?

Hi everyone,

My daughter is 3.5 and we have been given a last minute appointment with paeds for today. Today could be the day! I'm not mentally prepared: thought we would be in for a longer wait but seems that they are rushing through before our local service is suspended (funding issues )

Hello! What time is your appointment? My DD is also 3.5 but we are still waiting (apparently we will likely get ADOS in February/March) ... I try to remind myself that she is who she is regardless of whether she gets diagnosed or not so it's not the end of the world either way (but this may just be my ignorance of how important/unimportant a diagnosis is to getting help for her later if needed).

Hope it went well if you already had it. Such a nightmare re: funding issues. I was just watching a YouTube video last night of a young woman discussing her diagnosis from an institution that is due to close down soon. In a way I feel very lucky that our children seem to be getting in "under the wire" on diagnosis, though it's scary what it might mean for the level of support that is (or is not) available later.
