Feeling happy this morning ds's birthday today. Woke up at 5am and went outside to a fantastic sunny morning. Put up ds's playtent and put his presents inside. Then back to bed. He loves the tent and had his breakfast in there.

Going to my parents for lunch and then birthday tea with dh when he gets home from work.

Party went well although ds fell off the stage at the village hall and banged his shoulder (nothing broken fortunately) But it meant he couldn't go on the bouncy castle. He didn't seem bothered though and everyone else had a go. The sun shone and no rain. Thank God I had yesterday to recover (from the punch) and tidy up.

Oh yes and also celebrating dh's new job tonight as he had the interview on Friday and got the job

Got to go and make another cake now....

What a lovely story Eulalia, especially the bit about the punch!

dinosaur - what kind of school is your ds starting?

The only thing about his party was that there were more adults than children. I just hope he is able to make his own friends by next year. He doesn't have a clue at the moment but its heart-wrenching as he is desparate to have friends. Fortunatley he didn't notice as to him kids and adults are pretty much the same.
