Please help, I am really at the end of my tether. Dd3 has become obsessed with a situation at school where a teacher told her she was in the wrong seat and she needed to move her chair. She is miming moving her chair every 5 minutes, waking up in the night talking about it and follows me everywhere, won’t sleep without me. It is a nightmare.

I’ve bought her a worry monster but that does not seem to be helping. She has diagnosis of ADHD and dyspraxia and I strongly suspect she’s also on the autistic spectrum.

I don’t know what to do to help her.

You can ask for a CAMHS referral but it won't be quick.

You might find Dawn Huebner's CBT workbook 'What to do when your brain gets stuck' helpful. Ds responded really well to others in the series.

It sounds really hard, poor dd Flowers

Thank you Polter. Someone has just suggested that it could be caused by an infection and she has just had a very nasty UTI. But I do definitely think she’s on the spectrum anyway...
