Child's first DLA claim....help

Hi all, put a application in for DLA for my ds. Got confirmation that they received forms on 28/09/17 and said it can take up to 8 weeks for a decision to be made. Was just wondering how long before you got a payment after they said they’d received the forms? Did you wait the 8 weeks or was it sooner? Thanks x

I had received my decision after about 6 weeks.

Took them 13 weeks

4 weeks but I had already enclosed copies all evidence/diagnoses

Ours took 4 weeks, they backdate the payment to when they receive it if you are successful.
