Has anyone had their child referred to a neurologist regarding dyslexia, memory and focussing/visual processing issues? Did it add anything or did they suggest additional support?

Both my chirldren have visual processing issues but not been referred to neurologist. Have tried to get referred to behavioural optometrist but apparently can't on NHS, need to decide whether it's worth paying for private, my guess is yes. Have you looked at eyes can learn website some exercises there.

Thanks yes not sure - read a couple of mixed things online. Behavioural optometrists are not mainstream but there are some great success stories - and they are few and far between!!!
Good luck x

I once read a report on a child by a neuro-educational psychologist; a detailed assessment of severe memory problems.
