Has anyone read his book / tried his ideas? What do you think?

Yes, I've got the book. Although the ideas are very appealing there is no evidence of effectiveness in child development/learning. Greenspan really is very much a collection of good parenting ideas and interaction/play strategies. Its not a bad thing as such, and nice to see all these things collected in one place and clearly expressed but definitely not considered an effective intervention if you are looking for development/learning. I think following Greenspan's floortime only would become extremely frustrating after a while too but combining it with other methods (portage, ABA etc) could be a good idea.
