Just to say found it very difficult to sit through. Awards for best spelling, maths, behaviour etc so my ds didn't stand a chance

Hi scrabble,

This must be quite hard I can imagine. My son is only year 1 and he always gets excellent progress awards. God knows how it will be by the time he's in year 6 and the rest of the kids are wayyy ahead of him.. don't get me wrong he is working at expected levels and slightly higher but I feel the future will be different

I agree OP. My ASD DS (9) was up on the stage for over an hour with his year group but no TA whilst they gave out prizes to the others. Cue him getting distracted, putting his hands over his ears as they sang songs and then getting told off by the HT.
