I have a 3 year old ds.
He has development delay of 2 years.
There has been lost of possibilities of why mentioned but nothing diagnosed as of yet.
Hes always struggled with potty training. Which up until a few weeks ago nursery pushed still hv told them to leave it as he wasnt making progress and we was worried it was going to go backwards.
Ever since every so often he will ask not to wear a nappy. Each time of i put underwear or pjs on he will wet and soil in them sometimes he will go to potty but he doesn't think to pull his underwear or pj bottoms down even when we tell him to.
If hes got nothing on he will start weeing then pinch his willie to stop weeing and run to potty. I don't want to push him to much and create issues which is why i haven't told nursery he is trying as i dont want them to start pushing again.
Why do i go from this point? Should i just continue to follow his lead? I also worried hes going to hurt himself by pinching hos willie.
We have done everything suggested so far. Even done soiling and urine dairys to try pin a pattern to encourage him at certain times but there was no pattern at all. Hv wants to refer to incontinence team but he doesnt reach there criteria till hes 4 which is 3 months away.
