Small folding buggy

Hi not sure whether this is the right place to post but I'm looking for recommendations please. My 4 year old has mild diplegic cerebral palsy and struggles to walk for any distance. We are not entitled to wheelchair funding as he's in the more able end (he wears splints that help him) but he gets so tired I was advised by the physio to buy a large buggybut she couldn't recommend a small folding one. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Hello, not sure how small you need it to be but my tall 4.8 yo DD (also mild CP) still fits into our old Bugaboo Bee, and won't outgrow it anytime soon. They are pricey new but maybe a second hand one? It's a pain on rough surfaces though. Nipper 360 and Babyjogger also do good light-ish strollers with lots of growing room, mountain buggy too though watch for seat width.
Again lots around second hand.

Another idea, can your DS use a scooter, DD has learned to and finds it much less tiring than walking so we do that on less tired days (though she is hemi not diplegic, guess hemi fits better with scooting)

Thanks Do the fold small? The issue I have is my older daughter is a wheelchair user (not cp) so I need room for that in the boot as well! My son is 1m tall and 15 kg

Hmm ok, in that case the Bee probably doesn't work, it folds quite small but probably not small enough (depending on boot size!)

Baby jogger folds down quite flat so might work

However neither fold as small as an umbrella stroller like the maclaren. You could look at maclarens or Uppababy G Luxe which is another umbrella fold but has a bit more
space than maclarens I believe.

There's also this from mothercare but I don't know how it would stand up to a 4 yo weight

The Maclaren major is quite long but fairly compact when folded, if that makes sense. We've managed to fit it on the floor by the back seats when going on holiday etc when the boot is full or other stuff.

Sorry, I realise this is an old thread but this buggy folds down so small you can put it in a backpack and when extended it is quite roomy. Certainly felt longer and more spacious compared to a mcclaren techno. My 4yr old DS used this for a bit until he started to fight to get out. we had to abandon use because it couldn't cope with his struggling
