Dd found walking around the school carpark

Dh picked up as I am not feeling well at all.

Anyway the head of the unit was waiting and apparently dd had gone off to the toilet.

She had been gone a while and then someone found her in the school carpark.

She got very stressed out in the afternoon and has a huge bite on her arm .

I am in tomorrow anyway for her IEP but I am not happy at all.

She is 7.

i'm not surprised your not happy hun, i wouldnt be either, i'm assuming dd is at a sn school, so why wasnt she being watched, doesnt bare thinking about, if it was going home time, carpark would be busy, good luck raising the issue tomorrow, ((((hugs)))) hope you feel better soon hun xx

your welcome hun, just be grateful she didnt get further than the car park eh, either way if its a unit for sn, you'd think they would be extra careful, i foresee someone getting a good rollicking for this after you've had words, hope your feeling a little better now xx

Just wanted to say how angry I am on your behalf ...but unfortunately not too suprised.

My son has a range of additional needs and a chronic medical condition and his ms school seem to be so focused on his needs that other things get overlooked.
Last week he came home minus a tooth and it wasn't even wobbly and nobody in the school, despite him having full time one to one support, could tell me what had happened to it. It really upset me because it was his first tooth to come out and I was thinking that it must have hurt or bled. Unfortunately he was unable to tell me himself what had happened and I just felt to frustrated, not just because nobody could tell me what had happened to it but at the schools flippant attitude, like I was making a fuss over nothing, what if it had been their child who came home without a tooth?

Really hope you can get to the bottom of what happened and have their assurances that it won't happen again.
