I am in the process of challenging my LA for a placement at a weekly board. (I am keen on Treloar)
In process of booking independent experts as the current draft EHC plan is not fit for purpose with no quantification and specifications made in the provisions section F.
They EP also refused to write that my child needs training to sleep well as he is awake from 3am at night and this impact on his learning and mood/motivation.
The Physio refused to write the need for hydrotherapy and what I wanted is for my child to learn to control his wheelchair independently using switch skills which is something independent schools have a facility for (tracked floor for wheelchair users to practice controlling their wheelchair) LA special schools do not have that.
Are there any parents who fought their LA to get them into Treloar's?
I am in process of booking EP, OT Physio and SALT.
It's expensive and wondering if I need all 4 therapist assessment of if at least 2 - 3will do?
