Hi, I just received a letter from my ds OT saying that he will be discharged from OT services as they don't offer ongoing monitoring.
I am so shocked........ he is only 10 has a right hemiplegia which affects fine motor, bimanual activities, he also has processing difficulties so needs extra support in lessons. Am I naive to expect some therapeutic support from an OT, has anyone else's children been discharged from their Ot?
Thank you

Has there been a change in your local children's services? In our area children's services have gone over to Virgincare, and lots of children seem to be being discharged. Does he have any other support? An EHCP?

Hello, no change to service that I am aware of but I have contacted our OT and waiting for her to get back to us. Hopefully she can throw some light on the situation.
Ds does have an EHCP will speak to his Senco re provision in school.
