Educational psychologist assessment today

Today an educational psychologist is going to see my dd at nursery. I've got an appointment to see them afterwards.

Dd is 3.9 Yrs and has suspected autism, we've got an assessment and feedback appointment for this in May so will likely get a formal diagnosis then. She's currently non-verbal and we're working with her to be able to use PECS but she isn't quite at the level yet.
What am I likely to expect today, do I need to prepare any questions or info? This is for an EHCP hopefully.

I'm an EP. Mostly we are pretty nice, I hope yours' is helpful. When I visit a nursery I normally observe the child, look at their paperwork (learning profiles etc.) and speak with the nursery key worker and parents, either separately or together. I ask about the child's strengths and difficulties across all areas of development and we discussed what support the child has, what works and what other types of support we feel would help. Normally we decide on some outcomes we want to achieve, and then agree what each person can do to work towards these. I do standardised tests on pre-schoolers, about once in a blue moon (which is once more than most of my colleagues!). Take a pen and paper to write notes and write down any points/ concerns you really want to get across and questions you want to ask. Best of luck for today. I'm also a parent of a child with SEN and I know that meeting new professionals can feel a bit daunting. I find the pen and paper helps me to feel more composed, even if I'm quite nervous.

What area do you cover boogie? I am in need of a EP but finding it hard to find one in the Manchester area

Thanks Boogle. The ep was really nice, she's confident the ehcp will go through due to the highest level of needs dd has so fingers crossed it does all go through fine.
