I just found this lovely piece about children with Down's learning piano - Tom, the first boy mentioned, sounds fab, doesn't he?

But it's how I found it that is making me smile - I am working at home at the moment doing Primary Times event listings for Bucks.

  1. I was looking at the events calendar for The Chiltern Society

  2. It featured an open day at Lacey Green Windmill

  3. The windmill site has an obituary for the man who was instrumental in getting the windmill restored, Christopher Wallis

  4. The obit mentioned that he was the son of Barnes Wallis, and had an older sister, Mary

  5. My oldest school friend was at college (I think) with a grand-daughter of Barnes Wallis and Marie Stopes, whose father is Harry Stopes-Roe and whose mother must be Mary Wallis

  6. I just casually looked up Helena Stopes-Roe on google (it is a very memorable name!) and found her as the mother of Tom the pianist!

How fab is that

bump (cos the piano thing is so nice, apart from the other)
