Omg I am happy for once! I got the final amended statement letter for my DD this morning saying she will be going to the school I wanted her to, Queensgate, which was a surprise as I was told they only had 1 resourced place. I am so overjoyed! Anyone else have a kid there, or know of it? I really thought we would have to go with plan B (and er..there wasn't one...) so I am so happy for her. It seems like a brilliant school for kids with sn, loved it when I visited it. I just can't believe it, I am used to things going wrong, and for a change we have got something we need without too much hassle. Please forgive my gushing! To be honest it's not often that I am happy nowadays, I am on my own with 2 darlings, obviously my DD has SN, I have very little support and have even been close to suicide at times, as there are also lots of other stresses (one very bad neighbour, money probs etc. etc.!) So I hope you understand why I am bursting with joy over this good news. I know so many posts on this topic are full of worries (mine usually are), so I hope you can forgive me and I don't seem insensitive...I am just so happy that she will go to what seems to be a really lovely school that I had chosen!
