Dextroamphetamine for 5 yr old.....help

My sons consultant is looking to start my son on dextroamphtamine in a couple of weeks time when he turns 5. Can anyone share their experiences good/bad please, I am feeling quite shaky about it. Have many others been medicated at such a young age? Thank you

We started at 6 I think, ds is 8 now. He's on equasym xl so one tablet in morning. It's been life changing for his schooling. We had to give breakfast before as he eats ill the during the day and have diner later

Lots of headaches and stomach aches first couple of months
