How do I chase EHCP assessment?

I submitted an EHCP assessment request for DS back in September. The deadline for a decision is fast approaching in a few days. What happens if I haven't heard back from them within the timeframe? How do I chase it firmly whilst remaining on good terms?

They tend to send their decisions via snail mail, so I'd email or ring the day before noting the date for a decision is x but you wanted to ensure they had your correct details.

If you don't get the decision by the deadline, write to them pointing out the statutory date and say you require the decision within, say, three days failing which you will have to consider judicial review proceedings. If that doesn't work, contact SOS SEN.
