Well to be honest I was really unsure about going again. WE already pay for SALT which is specialised to the needs of children with Down Syndrome, and I cannot fault that...well apart from the cost!!LOL.
But DH got sooo much out of last years assessment, he doesn't get the opportunity to really see her at her therapies, so really lacks confidence in carrying them out.
This will be the 2nd time with BIBIC, last Easter we got our first ever real sensory advice, so in a way it was worth that in itself.
I feel so guilty though, not been carrying out much of the Bibic program for ages though. I have been so down and drained with all the fighting for a statement, I just haven't got the time, energy or motivation to do it. Hopefully, it will give both DH and me the kick up the backsides we need!!
BH, not not near at all!!LOL..We are in Medway, nr Chatham, so travelling down to Deal is well over an hour away- but easier than having to travel to Somerset!
We looked at the costs to stay over night, but just couldn't justify it with the extension still looming this year, we will be stretched enough!
Hopefully Bibic will be able to rush through the report so that the LEA can include in as "evidence" to make their decision on!
