Development delay

Hi All

I've known for a few months now that my 15 month old has development issues

She had an assessment after 3 months of physio yesterday and she currently has the same skills of a 7 month old

Has anyone experienced something similar? we have no idea what the reason for the delay is, and have had bloods to see if there is a genetic problem.

I just feel so lost and don't know what the future holds for my little bird

My ds is 7 with global developmental delay (gdd) changed to learning disability at 5. At times of appointments and assessments I can start to feel a little down about what the future holds, but you will amaze yourself how you just get on with things. I kind of live for the moment doing as much that will benefit him now and having lots of fun. No one will tell you what the future holds because they just don't know. Most children with gdd never have reason attributed to them as to why they are delayed and I personally think that it doesn't matter just as long as they receive good, appropriate support.
