I am blooming furious ......again. We need seating for our child but xxxx County Council only fund wombat seating because they have a contract and one size fits all in this county. Anyone challenged such blanket policy on grounds of discrimination?

No, but I strongly suspect you could. Contact the Equality and Human Rights Commission - www.equalityhumanrights.com/en

No I am would see you have a case if the seating is unsuitable.

Is the contract with R82? Because they do differential seating and not just the wombat.
I've also known R82 to use their base and take seat or supports from other companies if needed.

The issue is there is suitable seating available but the panel will only approve the block contract products - they do lots of that in this county and just expect not to be challenged. They become aggressive when they are

Contact Cerebra they do something with one of the law centres at a university. They may be able to help.
